Advanced Book Conservation Internship
Conservation Division
Preservation Directorate
September 2020 - August 2021
Due to the pandemic, the conservation staff was divided into two teams - A and B - which allowed about half of the staff to be onsite every week. I was part of Team A which included Dan Paterson, Alan Haley, Katherine Kelly, and Jennifer Evers. During the weeks that I was onsite, I focused on completing treatments, including examination and documentation. During the "B" weeks, the weeks that I worked from home, I focused on updating reports, doing the research to write the historical context sections of reports, completing readings for my standing B-week meetings with Dan, and participating in conferences.
Below you will find a list of the treatments I have completed or are in progress. Click on the image to be taken to the treatment page. You can also navigate to a specific treatment page in the menu at the top of the page. The page entitled, "Other Activities," includes workshops, treatments with which I assisted, surveys, and collection recovery efforts in which I participated.
